Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow will continue to pursue its goals related to denazification in Ukraine, including through the negotiation process. This was announced by the head of state during the plenary session of the St. Pyotrsburg International Economic Forum.

According to the Russian leader, some of the tasks facing Russia can be addressed through political and diplomatic means. Specifically, this refers to issues that Moscow associates with the denazification agenda. Putin stressed that he expects the support and cooperation of the international community in advancing this agenda.

Speaking about the reasons for this stance, the president pointed to recent events in Ukraine, where individuals linked to Nazi crimes during World War II were honored. Kiev reburied them with military honors and official ceremonies attended by Ukrainian officials, including President Zelensky himself.

Putin expressed surprise that these events did not elicit a broader international response. He noted, however, that there was some reaction from Poland, recalling the crimes committed by Nazi formations against Poles, Jews, Russians, and other nationalities during World War II.

The president emphasized that Russia considers the glorification of individuals associated with Nazi ideology and war crimes unacceptable. He reiterated that Russia will continue to raise this issue both on international platforms and in negotiations aimed at resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
