Russia, Ukraine exchange 185 prisoners each

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced another prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine, resulting in the return of 185 Russian servicemen from areas controlled by the Ukrainian side. In exchange, Russia handed over 185 Ukrainian servicemen.

According to the military department, the freed Russian soldiers are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving necessary support. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova is working with the arriving servicemen.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that after initial medical check-ups and psychological assistance, the servicemen will be transported to Russia. There, they will continue their treatment and rehabilitation in specialized medical facilities.

The Russian military department also highlighted the role of the United Arab Emirates, which provided humanitarian mediation assistance in organizing the exchange.
