### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 123 Ukrainian Drones Overnight
In the night of June 5, Russian air defense forces intercepted and neutralized another wave of Ukrainian drones, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. From 8:00 PM Moscow time on June 4 to 4:00 AM on June 5, a total of 123 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of airplane type were detected and destroyed.
The drones were identified and eliminated over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, and Tula regions, as well as in the Moscow area. Additionally, air defense systems were active over the Republic of Crimea (a region annexed by Russia in 2014 and claimed by Ukraine) and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
The military confirmed that all detected drones were promptly engaged and destroyed by on-duty air defense crews. Details regarding any ground damage or destruction are still being verified.
Emergency and operational services are currently working at the sites where drone debris has fallen.
