Jankoy railway station in Crimea has been reclassified as a technical station by the infrastructure owner, according to the transport company Grand Service Express. As a result, passenger trains of the "Tavria" service will no longer stop there.
The new arrangement took effect on June 4 and applies to all subsequent journeys. Trains traveling between mainland Russia and Sevastopol, Simferopol, and Evpatoria will now pass through Jankoy without stopping. Additionally, the stop at Urozhaynaya station has been removed from the schedule.
The first train to follow the updated route will be train No. 008/007 from Sevastopol to St. Pyotrsburg, departing Sevastopol on June 4.
Passengers who have booked tickets to Jankoy on trains coming from mainland Russia will not need to change trains or pay extra for their journey. They will be able to continue their trip to Simferopol and then take a bus to Jankoy.
For passengers planning to depart from Jankoy towards mainland Russia, the option to board the train at other Crimean stations—Simferopol, Evpatoria, or Vladislavovka—is available.
Additionally, ticket holders with Jankoy as their departure or arrival point will be able to get a refund without any commission charges.
