Putin, Lukashenko discuss further development of alliance relations in phone call

On June 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

During the conversation, the leaders of the two countries discussed topical issues of Russian-Belarusian cooperation and outlined further steps to strengthen their allied interaction.

Special attention was given to the prospects for the development of bilateral relations within the framework of the Union State integration (a political and economic union between Russia and Belarus), as well as coordination of joint efforts in key areas of partnership between Moscow and Minsk.
