Average car loan size rises 17.6% in April

In April 2026, the average size of auto loans issued in Russia reached 1.48 million rubles ($19,000), up 17.6% year-on-year, according to data from the National Credit History Bureau (NCHB), as reported by TASS.

However, compared to the previous month, the average auto loan size dropped by 2.2%.

The highest average auto loan sizes in April were recorded in Moscow (2.05 million rubles), Moscow Region (1.82 million rubles), St. Pyotrsburg (1.74 million rubles), Leningrad Region (1.63 million rubles), and Krasnodar Territory (1.63 million rubles).
