Air traffic to southern regions of Russia has been fully restored and is operating normally. According to the Russian Ministry of Transport, air traffic control is being carried out without restrictions on capacity or transit, and previously introduced restrictions have been officially lifted.
At 9:00 Moscow time, NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) that introduced temporary flight restrictions were cancelled. Currently, airports in the southern part of the country are operating according to their regular schedules.
As of May 9, airlines have carried out 441 flights to and from the south, transporting nearly 64,000 passengers. For the following morning, 277 regular flights to and from southern airports were scheduled, with no cancellations reported.
By 8:30 Moscow time on May 10, 83 flights had already taken place, carrying around 11,000 passengers.
The situation in the industry remains under constant monitoring by the Ministry of Transport, Rosaviatsiya (the Federal Air Transport Agency), and Rostransnadzor (the Federal Transport Supervision Service). An operational headquarters established at the Ministry of Transport on the instructions of Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev will continue coordinating efforts and monitoring air traffic at least until May 12.
