Flights to and from airports in southern Russia, which were suspended due to damage caused by a drone to an air navigation building in Rostov-on-Don, will soon resume, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport.

"Flights are expected to resume after 3:00 PM Moscow time, taking into account schedule adjustments. By the end of the day, 59 flights from Moscow and 158 flights from other regions are planned to arrive at airports in southern Russia," the ministry said.

The ministry also noted that Russian Railways (RZD) has provided sufficient seats on trains heading south, and is prepared to increase the number of carriages if necessary. Additional trains will be scheduled from Adler, Novorossiysk, Mineralnye Vody, Astrakhan, and Volgograd (via Saratov) to Moscow starting May 10.
