University Campus Named Ideal Spot for Finding Life Partner: Study

At the annual conference "Demographic Turning Point in Russia: Achieving the Goals," RUDN University Rector Oleg Yastrebov highlighted the role of universities in fostering family formation among students.

During the session "Students as a Ground for Family Creation," moderated by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Olga Petrova, Yastrebov emphasized that universities provide a unique space for shared values, principles, and ideals. This environment increases the likelihood of meeting someone with whom you share a similar outlook on life, common interests, and aspirations.

"When partners are united not only by feelings but also by common interests, goals, and even worldview, marriage is built not just on emotions but on a shared vision of the present and future, making it more likely to be a strong and lasting union," Yastrebov stated.

The conference was organized by the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the Mendeleev Institute for Demographic Policy, with the participation of the Federation Council and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
