Oil Products Spill Reported Off Tuapse Coast

An oil spill covering 10,000 square meters has been detected near Tuapse, one and a half miles from the port, according to the operational headquarters of Krasnodar Region.

Boom barriers have been deployed in the area of the spill. Six vessels from Tuapse port (fast patrol boats and oil and debris collectors) are involved in the cleanup operation.

According to the operational headquarters, the oil spill is a result of a drone attack that took place in the night of April 16, causing damage to the infrastructure of the marine terminal.
