Russian Government Extends Ban on Technical Sulfur Exports

The Russian government has extended the ban on exports of technical sulfur until June 30, 2026. The restriction applies to liquid, granulated, and lump sulfur, while sulfur of lower quality is allowed for export.

The export ban on one of the key components for producing phosphorus-containing fertilizers was first introduced on November 1, 2025. The decision was made to meet domestic market demand. The restriction does not apply to shipments to EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) member states, as well as to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
