Average Auto Loan Size in Russia Surged 27.3% Year-on-Year in February

The average size of auto loans issued in February 2026 reached 1.52 million rubles ($18,500), which is 27.3% higher than the same period in 2025.
Month-on-month, the indicator increased by 2.1%, according to data from the National Credit History Bureau (NБКИ) cited by TASS.
The highest average size of auto loans issued in February was recorded in Moscow (2.19 million rubles), Moscow Region (1.91 million rubles), St. Petersburg (1.79 million rubles), Leningrad Region (1.71 million rubles), and Krasnodar Territory (1.61 million rubles).
The most significant growth in the average size of auto loans was noted in Belgorod Region (+38.6%), Samara Region (+36.2%), Moscow (+32.7%), Saratov Region (+30.5%), and Udmurtia (+29.8%). The lowest growth among the top-30 regions was seen in Krasnoyarsk Territory (+14.7%), Perm Territory (+16.2%), and Kemerovo Region (+18.4%).
