### Russian Air Defense Intercepts Massive Drone Attack Overnight
Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a large-scale drone attack in the night of March 14. From 8:00 PM on March 13 to 7:00 AM on March 14, a total of 87 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were neutralized.
The majority of the drones—31—were shot down over the Sea of Azov (a body of water between Russia and Ukraine). Another 16 were destroyed over Krasnodar Krai (a region in southern Russia).
Additionally, 8 drones were eliminated over Crimea (a peninsula in the Black Sea claimed by Russia but internationally recognized as part of Ukraine), 7 over Bryansk Oblast, and 6 each over Belgorod Oblast and the Black Sea.
Other regions also saw drone attacks. Five drones were intercepted in Rostov Oblast, three in Samara Oblast, and two in Kursk Oblast. Single drones were neutralized over Astrakhan, Volgograd, and Tula Oblasts.
According to military officials, all air targets were promptly detected and neutralized by on-duty air defense units.
