### New Alcohol Sales Restrictions Coming to Altai Republic in 2026 Starting March 1, 2026, the Altai Republic will implement new alcohol sales regulations. According to RIA Novosti, citing the regional government, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited on Sundays and all federal holidays (a total of 14 days). Alcohol sales will also be banned in stores located within multi-apartment residential buildings. However, these restrictions will not apply to restaurants, cafes, bars, and other food service establishments. Additionally, the permitted hours for alcohol sales will be reduced: from Monday to Thursday, sales will be allowed from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; on Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and on Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
