### Average New Car Price in Russia Jumps 46% to $45,000 Since 2022 Since 2022, the average price of a new passenger car in Russia has surged by 46%, rising from 2.4 million rubles to 3.5 million rubles, which is equivalent to $45,000 at current exchange rates, according to Sergey Tselikov, head of Autostat (a leading Russian automotive market research firm). "Comparing this figure with other countries, we can see that cars in Russia are becoming some of the most expensive in the world," Tselikov noted. In terms of pricing, Russia now ranks fifth globally, trailing Canada ($62,000), the UK ($61,000), the US ($52,000), and Israel ($50,000). The most affordable new cars are found in China ($22,500), Japan ($22,400), and India ($11,000).
