The Russian government will allocate an additional 2 billion rubles ($25 million) under the subsidized agricultural leasing program. Previously, over 13 billion rubles ($160 million) had already been allocated in the federal budget for 2026.

The additional funds are expected to be used to purchase more than 6,500 units of agricultural machinery, which will then be leased to farmers on preferential terms.

"It is important that the funds are directed as quickly as possible. After all, the sowing campaign is coming up, which means farmers must have the opportunity to prepare well for fieldwork," Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed.
