Dollar Falls Below 76 Rubles on Forex for First Time in One and a Half Months

The Russian ruble continues to strengthen on the international currency market. The dollar-to-ruble exchange rate on the Forex platform has dropped below the 76 ruble mark - a level not seen in the last one and a half months.

According to trading data, at 11:19 Moscow time, the USD/RUB pair was down 1.42%, reaching 75.91 rubles. The last time the dollar traded below this level was on December 5, 2025.

Simultaneously, a decline was also observed on the Moscow Exchange. The perpetual futures contract for the U.S. dollar (USDRUBF) fell 0.92% and dropped to 76.07 rubles.

Meanwhile, the official dollar exchange rate set by the Bank of Russia for January 22 stands at 77.5159 rubles, which is noticeably higher than current market values.
