In Russia, starting from February 1, 2026, an indexation of childcare allowances, unemployment benefits, and a number of other social support measures will be carried out. The increase will amount to 5.6%, according to a press release from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
As clarified by the ministry, the indexation will affect more than 40 types of payments, allowances, and compensations, and will be carried out taking into account the actual level of consumer price inflation for the previous year. In 2026, the indexation coefficient is set at 1.056, which corresponds to an increase in payments by 5.6%.
The ministry noted that the increase will also affect payments to veterans, persons with disabilities, families with children, as well as recipients of monthly insurance payments and unemployment benefits.
The draft government decree "On Approval of the Indexation Coefficient for Payments, Allowances and Compensations in 2026" has already been put up for public discussion. The necessary funds for the indexation have been allocated in the federal budget for 2026-2028, the Ministry of Labor emphasized.
