Russian Air Defense Forces Shot Down 5 Ukrainian Drones Over Russian Regions Overnight

In the night of January 9, air defense units repelled an attack attempt using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, all detected air targets were promptly identified, intercepted, and destroyed. A total of five Ukrainian drones were eliminated overnight. Two were shot down in the airspace of Bryansk region. One drone was destroyed over Belgorod, Rostov, and Oryol regions each. No threats to the population or infrastructure facilities were allowed, the ministry clarified. Emergency and operational services are working at the crash sites of the UAVs.
