On Wednesday, the MICEX Index is falling by 0.7% during the trading session and is trading at 2725 basis points.
The most liquid stocks are showing the following trading dynamics:
- Sberbank -0.4%;
- Lukoil -0.3%;
- Gazprom -0.9%;
- Rusal -1.5%.
It should be noted that the Moscow Exchange Index (MICEX) is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is formed based on the market capitalization of freely traded shares (free-float) and includes highly liquid securities of large and dynamically growing Russian companies.
The composite stock price index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on prices weighted by market capitalization, taking into account free-float, of the most liquid stocks of Russian companies. The index composition and weight in the index are reviewed quarterly.
The overview was presented by Yulia Grishchenko, member of the Expert Council of the Moscow Exchange Listing Committee, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Financial and Investment Management at the Faculty of "Higher School of Management" of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
