MICEX Index Falls by 1% on Monday During Trading Session

MICEX Index drops by 1% on Monday during the trading session, reaching a level of 2740 basis points.
Among the most liquid stocks, the following dynamics are observed:
- Sberbank -1%;
- Gazprom -2%;
- Lukoil -0.6%;
- VTB -1.5%.
It is worth noting that the Moscow Exchange Index (MICEX) is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is formed based on the market capitalization of free-floating shares and includes highly liquid securities of large and dynamically growing Russian companies.
The composite stock price index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on prices weighted by market capitalization, taking into account free-float, of the most liquid Russian company stocks. The index composition and weight in the index are reviewed quarterly.
