### Ruble Weakened by About 1% Against Major Currencies in Last Trading Day The ruble weakened by about 1% against major currencies in the last trading day. On the interbank market on Wednesday, the ruble-yuan exchange rate (CNY/RUB) is quoted at 11.23 rubles per yuan. The USD/RUB pair is trading at 79.50 rubles per US dollar, while EUR/RUB is at 93.38 rubles per euro. It is important to note that since June 13, 2024, the exchange rates for the US dollar (USD/RUB) and euro (EUR/RUB) are determined based on data from bank transactions, digital platforms, and over-the-counter trades. The exchange rate for the Chinese yuan (CNY/RUB) is determined based on transactions conducted on the Moscow Exchange. The transaction data is aggregated from several sources: - Data on trading operations in the currency market of the Moscow Exchange; - Data on transactions provided by banks; - Information obtained from digital platforms of the over-the-counter market; - If data is unavailable from the above sources, the exchange rate value is taken equal to the indicator of the previous day. This overview was presented by Yulia Grishchenko, a member of the Expert Council of the Moscow Exchange Listing Committee, Ph.D. in Economics, Head of the Department of Financial and Investment Management at the Faculty of "Higher School of Management" of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
