The Russian government will allocate over 930 million rubles for the purchase of medicines, medical products, and specialized therapeutic nutrition products for citizens eligible for benefits. The funds will be provided to regions within the framework of federal obligations to ensure social support for the population.

The funding is intended to provide free medicines to disabled individuals, combat veterans, participants and disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War, citizens affected by radiation disasters, as well as family members of deceased disabled veterans and war veterans. The support measure also covers individuals awarded the medals "Citizen of Blockaded Leningrad", "Citizen of Besieged Sevastopol", and "Citizen of Besieged Stalingrad".

Additional funds will be allocated to 11 regions that have reported a need for increased funding for drug provision. These include the Republics of Karelia, Komi, Crimea, Mari El, Tuva, and Chuvashia, as well as Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Oryol, Sverdlovsk, and Tomsk regions.

The government emphasizes that the allocation of funds will enable regions to promptly purchase necessary medications and ensure the continuity of drug provision for beneficiaries, taking into account the increased demand and price dynamics in the pharmaceutical market.
