No sharp changes in the ruble exchange rate are expected in 2026. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev in an interview with RBC Radio.

He emphasized that the currency is currently not considered a "safe haven asset," and demand for it is virtually non-existent. The strengthening of the ruble, he explained, is due to high deposit rates.

"As this mirroring comes to an end and as the trend towards lower rates is implemented, I think the dynamics of the currency will change somewhat, but there should be no dramatic changes," Moiseev noted.
