The total amount of damage caused by Western sanctions imposed on Russia to American businesses amounts to nearly $300 billion. This figure was announced by Robert Eagye, head of the US Chamber of Commerce in Russia, in an interview with RTVI.
"We calculated that the direct impact was about $100 billion, and the total damage was almost $300 billion, including potential losses for specific businesses. Yes, this is the cumulative damage from both US sanctions and Russian counter-sanctions," emphasized Eagye.
According to him, over the course of 25 years, American businesses have invested approximately $100 billion in Russia. US companies established many production facilities in Russia in areas such as healthcare, pharmacology, industry, and others. Some of these companies continue to operate and produce their products in Russia.
