The Ruble Strengthens by 0.7% Against Major Currencies

The ruble strengthens by up to 0.7% against major currencies. On the interbank foreign exchange market, the national currency rate against the yuan (CNY/RUB) on Friday is testing the level of 10.93 rubles (ask) per yuan. The "dollar-ruble" pair (USD/RUB) is trading at 75.09 rubles (ask) per US dollar, while the "euro-ruble" pair (EUR/RUB) is at 87.60 rubles (ask) per euro. It should be noted that since June 13, 2024, the rates for the US dollar (USD/RUB) and the euro (EUR/RUB) are determined based on information from bank transactions, data from digital platforms, and over-the-counter trading. The rate for the Chinese yuan (CNY/RUB) is calculated based on transactions concluded on the Moscow Exchange. The data for transactions comes from several sources: - Trading data from the foreign exchange market of the Moscow Exchange; - Information provided by banks; - Information from digital platforms of the over-the-counter market; - If the data is absent in the specified sources, the rate remains at the level of the previous day.
