Russian Treasury to Accept Payments in Digital Rubles to Budget System Starting January 1, 2026

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Head of the Federal Treasury Roman Artyukhin are discussing today the progress of federal budget execution and the implementation of digital services. During the meeting, it was announced that the first payments in digital rubles were successfully carried out this year. According to Artyukhin, starting from January 1, 2026, the agency will be ready to accept payments into the revenue part of the budget system in this manner. "Thus, digital solutions ensure the stable, uninterrupted, and timely fulfillment of all state obligations," Artyukhin stated. In turn, Mishustin emphasized the need to expand the use of digital services, making them more user-friendly and comprehensible.
