Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that significantly increases state fees for foreign citizens when applying for migration documents. The document was published on the official legal information portal.

Under the new regulations, the fee for acquiring Russian citizenship will increase almost twelvefold - from 4,200 rubles to 50,000 rubles.

Additionally, the cost of obtaining a temporary residence permit (TRP) will also rise substantially: the fee will increase from 1,920 rubles to 15,000 rubles. The fee for a permanent residence permit (PRP) will increase from 6,000 rubles to 30,000 rubles.

Furthermore, the law increases the fee for employers seeking permission to hire foreign workers. Now, they will have to pay 15,000 rubles for each foreign specialist.

The adopted changes aim to revise the system of state fees in the field of migration legislation and significantly increase the financial costs for foreigners seeking to obtain documents necessary for residence and employment in Russia.
