Sales of road construction equipment have dropped by 41.3% since the beginning of the year.

From January to September 2025, the Russian road construction equipment market experienced a decline of 41.3% year-on-year, reaching 32.4 billion rubles, according to data from the association "Rosspetsmash" (which aggregates data from factories producing 80% of all Russian road construction equipment), as reported by "Kommersant". It is noted that the rate of market decline is slowing down. While the first half of the year saw a decline of 45.4%, by September deliveries had decreased by 25.7% year-on-year. Experts do not believe that this fact indicates an improvement in the situation. In their opinion, Russian manufacturers of road construction equipment have been in a "consistently difficult position" since the second half of 2024. The reasons for the accumulation of stockpiles of machinery and equipment on warehouses include a reduction in road construction volumes, the difficult financial situation of industry organizations, and a decrease in demand due to the high Central Bank interest rate. According to analysts, the market will remain at low levels at least until 2028.
