The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the list of contract soldiers who will receive compensatory payments instead of a service pension.
As reported today by the Government press service, on November 12, a decree was signed according to which contract soldiers who performed tasks in the special operation zone will receive monthly compensatory payments in the amount of 100% of the service pension.
"We are talking about military personnel who, before signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense, were pensioners of various law enforcement agencies (Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, EMERCOM, Federal Penitentiary Service, Rosgvardia, and others). After signing the contract, they lost the right to receive such a pension, but now they will receive it in the form of compensatory payments," the source explained.
Earlier, the President instructed to provide contract soldiers with such payments. Initially, they applied only to participants of the special military operation, but now they also cover those who repelled Ukrainian attacks in border regions.
