Signs of cartels in tenders worth about 205 billion rubles have been identified in Russia since the beginning of this year. This was reported by Maxim Shaskolsky at the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Antimonopoly Policy: Science, Practice, Education" and the International Cartel Forum.

According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia, anti-competitive collusions were most frequently detected this year in the fields of construction, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and social catering supplies. Since the beginning of the year, the antitrust service has initiated 280 such cases, with 91.5% of them being violations in tenders.

Cartel schemes are becoming more complicated, particularly with the use of digital technologies by unscrupulous market participants, FAS acknowledges. Currently, violations are being addressed through the state information system "Antikartel," which automatically processes 9.2 million tenders based on 20 criteria.
