Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has calculated how much money Ukraine has received from Western countries since 2022. According to Medvedev, the West has transferred 500 billion euros to the Kyiv authorities. Medvedev considers this amount to be "catastrophically" large, even though part of the money was embezzled. "With this money, it would have been possible to build a new neutral and prosperous Ukraine. But it was not meant to be," Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel. Medvedev noted that the United States spent much less annually in Afghanistan. "Unshakably free Pindostan burned through $2.3 trillion in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021," Medvedev said. The deputy chairman added that the more the Western world spends its resources on supporting the Kyiv authorities, "the more terrifying the end of the story will be."
