Over 150,000 Rubles: Number of High-Paying Industries in Russia Doubles in a Year

The number of industries in Russia where the average salary exceeds 150,000 rubles has doubled over the year — from 12 to 24. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System (EMISS), as reported by RIA Novosti. The average income across the economy in August amounted to 92,900 rubles, showing an increase of more than 10,000 rubles compared to August of the previous year. Salary leaders (August 2025): - Natural gas extraction: 327,600 rubles - Software publishing: 216,700 rubles - Pesticide production: 215,800 rubles - Software development, air transportation: over 200,000 rubles The list of industries with salaries starting from 150,000 rubles also includes sea freight, finance, oil extraction, tobacco and computer manufacturing, IT trade, and others.
