The Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation has identified a funding shortfall of 443.8 billion rubles required to bring federal and regional highways to standard condition by 2030. The report states that additional funding will be needed to achieve planned targets: 89.8 billion rubles for the "Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod" highway and 308.3 billion rubles for the "Viluy" highway. During the inspection, violations amounting to 7.1 billion rubles were identified in road construction works in Nizhny Novgorod and Tambov regions, as well as in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Some of these violations have been rectified, and 794.3 million rubles have been returned to the budget.
