Ruble loses ground within 0.8% against major currency pairs

The ruble is losing ground within 0.8% against major currency pairs.

On the currency market (interbank), the ruble exchange rate against the Chinese currency CNY/RUB is trading at 11.31 rubles per yuan on Tuesday.

The USD/RUB pair is trading at 82.10 rubles per US dollar, while EUR/RUB is at 94.22 rubles per euro.

Starting from June 13, 2024, the exchange rates for the US dollar (USD/RUB) and euro (EUR/RUB) are formed based on a dataset of bank transactions, digital platforms, and over-the-counter trades. The Chinese yuan rate (CNY/RUB) is calculated based on transactions conducted on the Moscow Exchange.

Data on completed transactions is collected from several sources:

- Information on trading operations on the currency market of the Moscow Exchange;

- Data on transactions provided by banks;

- Information obtained from digital platforms of the over-the-counter market;

- In the absence of data from the above-mentioned sources, the exchange rate value is taken equal to the indicator of the previous day.
