Participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO) may receive free second secondary vocational education. Today, the State Duma adopted amendments to the Federal Law "On Education in the Russian Federation" in the first reading.
The bill provides that military personnel will have the right to receive another profession in a college or technical school after obtaining secondary vocational education in a different field of study.
According to Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, these and similar measures should "contribute to increasing the accessibility of education for those who defend the country, as well as help them adapt more quickly after completing their service."
