The Cabinet of Ministers has taken measures to increase the transparency of pricing for fish products

The Government of the Russian Federation has included fish products in the list of goods whose prices are monitored on the basis of exchange data. This will allow you to track the formation of prices for these products throughout the entire product chain. The decision was made to maintain a stable situation in the domestic market.

Prices will be monitored for the main commercial fish species: cod, pollock, haddock, mackerel, herring, chum salmon, pink salmon and sockeye salmon.

Market participants will be required to transfer data on over-the-counter transactions above 10 tons to the exchange (data on domestic and export transactions will be taken into account).

It will be possible to provide such information on a voluntary basis starting from November 1, 2025. Starting from March 1, 2026, this procedure will become mandatory.
