Despite pressure from the United States, India will continue to import oil from Russia. This opinion was voiced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Interfax reports.

- We continue to cooperate with our friendly partners. Our energy resource is in demand. It is economically beneficial and expedient. And I am confident that our partners will continue to work with us, interact and develop energy cooperation," Novak said. - No one can tell them, and they will choose their own path.

  • Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that India will agree to stop buying Russian oil in order to avoid high export duties on goods supplied to the United States. Trump expects the same decision from China.
