Alexander Gutsan has been appointed Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree on his appointment was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The document is published on the legal information portal.

By the same order, Gutsan was relieved of his post as the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District. Gutan will serve as Prosecutor General for five years.
