Putin gave the post of Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation to Alexander Gutsan

Alexander Gutsan has been appointed Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree on his appointment was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The document is published on the legal information portal.

By the same order, Gutsan was relieved of his post as the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District. Gutan will serve as Prosecutor General for five years.

• Previously, the President of the Russian Federation dismissed Igor Krasnov from the post of Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation in connection with his transition to the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
