One of the important systemic tasks for the coming years is to increase confidence in the stock market, its capitalization should increase to two thirds of GDP. This was stated by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during an address to participants of the Moscow Financial Forum.
He stressed that the incentive for this could be the entry of large companies on the stock exchange, including those with state participation.
In addition, foreign capital should have access to the Russian market. The volume of attracted foreign investments is expected to grow to 1 trillion rubles by 2030. Mutual development of exchange trading with friendly countries will help in achieving this goal.
- As for our colleagues in the EAEU, we are already engaged in the formation of a common financial market. Russia has signed an agreement on the cross-border admission of securities," the head of the Cabinet noted.
