Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova announced preliminary data on the turnout for the 2025 elections. As of the morning of September 14, over 16 million people have already taken part in the voting across the country.

According to Pamfilova, this figure is almost a third of the total list of voters in those regions where elections were scheduled this weekend. The total electoral coverage on this day is estimated at about 55 million citizens.

High activity is observed on the federal Remote electronic voting (DEG) platform. More than 1.4 million users have already cast their votes in 24 participating regions. This represents 85% of the total number of voters who pre-registered on the DEG platform.

Significant turnout was also recorded at extraterritorial polling stations in the capital. These platforms allow residents of 19 regions where gubernatorial elections are held to vote. According to the CEC, out of 18,000 voters included in the lists at such polling stations, 12,000 people have already dropped their ballots into the ballot boxes. Thus, the turnout here reached two thirds.

September 14th is the final voting day. Polling stations are operating across the country as part of about five thousand election campaigns at various levels. As a result, 46,000 mandates and elected positions from local governments to regional parliaments and gubernatorial posts will be replaced.
