Unemployment in Russia is the lowest among the G20 countries

According to the results of the second quarter of 2025, Russia turned out to be the country with the lowest unemployment rate among the G20 countries. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the national statistical services.

By June, the unemployment rate in Russia dropped to a record low since 1991, to 2.2%, which is 0.1 percentage points lower than in March.

Japan came in second place among the G20 countries with 2.5%. South Korea is in third place with 2.6%. Next are Mexico - 2.7% and Turkey - 8.4%.

The highest unemployment rate among the G20 countries was recorded in the Republic of South Africa - 33.2%.
