Ex-deputy chief of the rear of the Commander-in-chief of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Panov was arrested for a bribe received 10 years ago
A criminal case has been opened against the former deputy chief of the rear of the Commander-in-Chief of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant General Vladimir Panov, on receiving a particularly large bribe while fulfilling a state defense order. This is reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
As part of the criminal investigation, Panov, who was previously convicted of official offenses, was taken into custody. The new case involves an incident that occurred more than 10 years ago.
According to law enforcement officials, in 2012 Panov supervised the execution of a state contract concluded with the company SK Remstroytorg for construction work in the Kemerovo region. The total amount of the contract exceeded 2.5 billion rubles.
In 2012-2014, Panov, through an intermediary, received 37 million rubles from a representative of the contractor organization for general patronage in the execution of the state contract. This led to the fact that the terms of the contract were not fulfilled, and the state suffered multimillion-dollar damage.
"During the search, Panov was found to have 21 million rubles, as well as more than 40 real estate objects, including those registered to members of his family.
