In Russia, a number of organizations will be allowed to make mass calls without the consent of subscribers

The Ministry of Finance is working on creating a list of organizations that will be allowed to call Russians en masse without their consent. This is reported by "Vedomosti".

The final composition of the organizations has not yet been determined. It will be announced upon completion of coordination with the interested federal executive authorities.

The creation of the list was preceded by an appeal from representatives of research organizations conducting social surveys among the population to the President of the Russian Federation. In it, they pointed out that the new amendments to the law on combating telephone fraud jeopardize their work.

Starting from September 1, Russians may impose a ban on mass calls and mailings. To do this, you must send an application to your telecom operator. Currently, an exception for mass calls has been made for government authorities and their subordinate organizations.

New rules for labeling calls also came into force in Russia on September 1. Information about the calling company or sole proprietor should now be displayed on the phone screen, indicating the category of the call, for example, bank or delivery.
