Starting from November 1, 2025, a new system for monitoring the availability of CTP policies will start operating in Russia. Traffic cameras will automatically detect drivers without insurance. An expert from the Popular Front told RIA Novosti about this. Analytics, auto lawyer Ekaterina Solovyova.
According to her, such a control system is being introduced on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Technically, it is quite simple to check the absence of a CTP policy in the database, which makes it possible to automatically fix violations.
The auto lawyer noted that the innovation would be a compromise for all participants in the process. Such a system is beneficial for insurance companies, as it will encourage drivers to apply for CTP policies. Some of the funds from fines may be allocated to road funds. At the same time, a simple mechanism for challenging fines is provided for drivers - it will be enough to present a valid policy.
