In Russia, inflation rates have been in the range of 4-6% in recent months. These figures were announced by the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, following a meeting of the board of directors of the regulator on the key rate.

However, she stressed that this does not mean that the Central Bank has achieved its goal, as the slowdown is largely due to one-time and volatile factors. In particular, in August, the general price index traditionally decreased due to the seasonal decrease in prices for fruit and vegetable products.

- The ongoing monetary policy has led to the fact that the indicators of stable inflation have noticeably decreased since the beginning of the year. But we need time to consolidate the disinflationary trend," the head of the regulator emphasized.

According to Nabiullina, inflation expectations are still high and almost unchanged in all groups: among the population, businesses and financial markets.
