Ukrainian Armed Forces drone attacked Smolensk NPP

A combat aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the building of the operating power unit of the Smolensk NPP. This was reported by Rosatom.

The incident occurred on September 12 at about 4 a.m. on the territory of the industrial site of the Smolensk NPP in the area of the 3rd power unit. The drone was suppressed by technical means, and when it fell, it detonated in the immediate vicinity of the operating 3rd power unit. As a result, several windows in the auxiliary rooms were blown out.

There are no other damages or casualties. The incident did not affect the work of the enterprise. Currently, all three power units of the Smolensk NPP are operating normally. Law enforcement agencies are working on the spot.
