The Investigative Committee of Russia announced the arrest of the former head of the military mission of the Ministry of Defense, Andrei Tyurin. He is accused of abuse of official authority in the implementation of the state defense order.

According to investigators, in the period from 2021 to 2023, Tyurin organized the signing of fictitious documents concerning the cost and technical characteristics of products that were ordered by the military from the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). These actions led to the termination of the contract and caused damage in the amount of more than 40 million rubles.
