Interior Ministry: Voting in Russia took place without significant incidents that could disrupt the elections

The course of the all-Russian voting was not disrupted by any significant incidents that could disrupt the elections. This statement was made during a briefing at the Central Election Commission (CEC) by Lenar Gabdrakhmanov, head of the Main Directorate for Ensuring Public Order Protection at the Russian Interior Ministry.

The electoral process has now been completed in all regions, with the exception of the Kaliningrad Region. Law enforcement agencies have not recorded any violations of law and order that could affect the conduct of elections.

The Interior Ministry reported that 11 criminal cases have been initiated since the beginning of the voting.Nine criminal cases are related to deliberately false reports of impending terrorist attacks.

A representative of the department also stated that law enforcement officers had stopped an attempt by the foreign opposition to disrupt the voting in Russia.

"No significant violations of law and order capable of disrupting the elections have been recorded&", - said Lenar Gabdrakhmanov, speaking at a briefing at the Central Election Commission.
