Alexey Smirnov, the former head of the Kursk region, who is accused of especially large-scale fraud in the construction of fortifications, has become a person of interest in a new criminal case. This is reported by TASS.

A criminal case was opened against Smirnov under the article "Receiving a particularly large bribe". No other details were provided.
